INJURIES - GENERAL INFORMATION

We are rarely completely healthy and free of some kind of injury. Therefore, we must think of ourselves as being in "Permanent Rehab".

  • If our muscles aren't prepared they won't support the skeletal frame and too great a load is placed on the joints. What happens then? We get hurt. If the injury is severe enough we may need a physical therapist or surgery and then we will be told to ... guess what? ... get stronger, do Proprioceptive (balance) training, work on mobility and flexibility and do cardio to lose fat.

  • Many of us have damaged our body to the point where it will never return to what it once was, but a proper program will help in rehabilitation of current injuries and help prevent injuries waiting to happen.
