PRIMARY HIP FLEXORS

  1. ILIOPSOAS – PSOAS MAJOR & ILIACUS

ASSISTING DEPENDING ON POSITION OF HIP AT THE TIME AT WHICH MOVEMENT IS INITIATED

  1. RECTUS FEMORIS: most powerful when the knee is flexed, whereas significant power is lost when the knee is extended – see QUADRICEPS
  2. SARTORIUS: Also assists in Femur External/Lateral Rotation; Femur Ab·duction; Knee Internal Rotation when Knee is Flexed
  3. TFL – TENSOR FASCIA LATA
  4. PECTINEUS
  5. ADDUCTOR BREVIS | ADDUCTOR LONGUS
  6. GRACILIS
